This old Victorian dame has had a technical refit while retaining the original grand finishes that would do justice to a sultan’s palace. As a result it is now arguably the ultimate picture perfect spot for a majestic Asian wedding in traditional elaborate style.
The offerings start with the cosy wood-panelled Cromwell and Empress rooms complete with roaring fireplaces for chilly winter days. Each has space for 60 guests, and they have an experienced Indian wedding planner to make your dreams come true.
Larger occasions are readily celebrated in the Queens Hall accommodating between 120 and 210 Indian wedding guests depending on the occasion. The stately, gilt-edged Kings Hall comfortably seats 350 guests at nuptials, although approximately 50 less for a dinner dance.
The Mercure in downtown Leicester is fully licensed for solemnisation of marriages and partnerships. This opens up the possibility of reserving a smaller venue for the event, before flowing out into a larger one for a night of dinner, dance and partying.
